Surgery

The surgery is well equipped to handle complex operations as well as routine procedures such as speys and castrations, dentistry, soft tissue and orthopaedic surgeries.

Should the occasion arise where your pet needs to spend the day with us, he or she will be admitted by a member of our team and we will spend the rest of the day taking the best possible care of your beloved companion.  For most surgeries, animals will be admitted in the morning and go home later in the afternoon when they are well on the road to recovery.

The surgery is well equipped to handle complex operations as well as routine procedures such as:

  • Spey and castration

  • Dentistry

  • Routine eye surgery

  • Lump removal

  • Orthopaedics

  • Caesarean

  • Exploratory Laparotomy

If you feel that your pet will benefit from more specialised care then we will not hesitate to refer you to a specialist in the approriate field.

We use a number of anaesthetic options to best suit your pets' needs.  We also use equipment which monitors respiration (breathing) and heart rate as well as oxygen saturation on the blood.  This all contributes to increasing anaesthetic safety.
